Dear Puvan & Vanisha,

Thanks a lot for your well written notes here..! I have to say we too are very honoured to have filmed your wedding. We are glad we did it. Thanks a lot for all the trust you have in us....!

We are still working on your video, though, we have edited a video out, that was just in time to present it the next day after your wedding at the reception in Seremban. You realised that its still not up in our blog yet..!! Cos, we felt that we can do better than wat you have witnessed that night. It was indeed a challenge i would say, filming your wedding due to some circumtances that was un-avoidable. But, please rest assured that we will do our best and will shocked the eyes out of you...and touch any soul that watch it!

Nevertheless, I have to also thank you for the great team that you have put together...Dreamworks & Papparazzi! They have done a great job...and its really fun working together alongside with them. I believe and i have always believe that the whole entire team is an important factor. From the make-up artist to the decorator, from the photographer to the videographer etc etc.

Best work done is that we can work as a team, feeling confortable, understanding, able to talk & negotiate, sharing and pro-active towards each other. And,that was exactly the case that took place during your wedding.

Thanks again to you...Puvan & Vanisha, and to also the other team members from Dreamworks, n Papparazzi... for the great team work job done-looking forward to be working with you guys again!

Quoting Guna again " From the Hari Raya Couple"
*******************************************************************************************

Patrina, got to agree with you... Guna is straight forward, he speaks his mind. n their work speak for themselves..

Sorry, in my previous post i didnt hv the time or neither was i in d right frame of mind to thank all those who helped us during the wedding. i clearly missed out a few things/people.

Let me start from the deco... Till this very second, i get people calling up n commenting on the deco, how gorgeously it was transformed.. But the sad thing was, i never had a chance to appreciate the beauty of it - thats merely coz i was freaking nervous the whole time.. m waiting for the photos to endorse it, wink wink... i must thank gayathri for being the brains behind it as well.. all i told her was i want a cream n gold theme, n she rang me one day n said, vanisha these r the flowers m gonna order some creme n offwhite n yellow. n i asked her, arent gonna take orange or red-wont it be too dull otherwise, she said no darling, trust me, we can transform the hall with these colors whic i have ordered. I must say, she kept to her words.. it was jus very very beautiful. Guna, i think you should do a before and after comparison of the hall.. Guna and the team, arrived a day before and many of my cousins were impressed on how organised these guys were.. simply amazing.. at 11.55 pm on the eve of the wedding, my cousin bro jus told me this, vanisha we r expecting an amazing deco tom from wat we have seen so far.. and DREAMWORKS proved it.. hats off guys!!!!

Next Papparazzi... need i say further.. the name says it all.. Sree and Guna, thanks so much guys for rolling n jumping here n there.. if i have some xtra cash, il get ul a new pair of jeans k, since ur jeans all got manjal-fied (turmeric). am so so so damn eager to see the pics..on how it has turned out to be... although guna n sree told me how challenging it was, im not that disturbed, coz i noe these guys can come up with amazing things...

Finally Gregs Video, who also played a significantly important role on our marriage... The 1st time i saw their video, i fell in love with it... it was like love at 1st sight... n i jus could not take my eyes off it.. it was amazing, puvan immediately rang his cousin n told her to book these guys..n so she did.... its really amazing to see a non indian shooting an indian wedding n capturing all significant moments of the wedding.. guess their brand/label/name Significantz Touch has so much to say about this... Greg, Collin and his gang are bunch of creative heads.. Collin n i had a good 3 hour chat before the wedding.. i would say it was great pleasure speaking to him, as he was there to listen to ur ideas and suggest what would suit you best and customise it to your character..Very humble chap-not one of those'hey, im the pro, u listen to me'... Greg, on the other hand- a baby facish(wonder if the word exist) guy who alwiz smiles and makes you smile ... he can jus come up with spontaneous crazy ideas on the spot...amazing brothers with amazing brains!!
these guys came a day before the wedding, took shots of my parents-very friendly n warm people and they came bright n early on the wedding day to start the shoot.. its really amazing to see their teamwork... well when i last spoke to Greg he said, vanisha your wedding was indeed one of the challenging ones we have ever taken, coz we could not get the rite angle, but dont worry we are working on a gud one for you guys.. but u noe wat guys, im not that worried, coz at the end i noe we can "Expect the Unexpected" from your team.. I have not seen the montage yet, but i noe for sure that i can expect an excellent masterpiece from u'll.. Thanks so much guys for all your hardwork & efforts... from scouting out for places to shoot prior to the wedding till the reception... All our family members were very impressed!!!

wow, didnt noe i can write this much..dont think i even wrote these much for any of my school assignments heheheh. dont wanna bore u guys further..

Once again, from the very bottom of the atlantic ocean oooppss our hearts, we would like to thank each and everyone of you for making our wedding a memorable day...

Cheers guys, Dreamworks, Papparazzi & Gregs -- keep up your excellent work!!!

With tonnes of best wishes,
Puvan & Vanisha

Guna...
I think you are doing a great job...
I know how frustrating it can be when someone gets into the way and distracts your work..
You expressed your feelings in general, but unfortunately some people did not agree..
You are very vocal and straight forward, which is uniquely you...
Keep up your great job by capturing the wonderful moments..
Your work speaks for itself dear, need not worry what others may have to say about you or your job...

Greetings from across the courseway :)

My HTB & I plan to tie the knot Dec2010. Even before we had planned to i had started scouting around for Good... no.. Great photographers. I have been to many weddings and i have seen all their albums after. It amazes me how mundane and lifeless most of the pictures taken look. I'd say the same for my own sisiter's wedding photographs.

With all due respect, i was/am still more than convinced that i do not want to engage any local photographers for my own big day. I must point out here that the Paparazzi team's photography looks very natural/candid, which just adds life to it and exudes the true essence of the occasion. The photographs above should illustrate my point here - other than the photograph of the 'kuthuvillaku/oil lamp"( & tat is only cos its a non living item duh!) none of the pictures look 'posed' or pre-arranged if know what i mean. It feels like i have attended the wedding just by looking at the photographs. Now thats the effect i'd want for my wedding photography.

Also I would'nt want to pay so much just to have many others( be it relatives or amature photographers) disrupting the assigned professional photographer. They need their space to work. Trust me. I say this also from experience at my sister's wedding. Thanks to a few ignorant relatives and friends who kept pushing back the professional photographers while they took pictures with their cameras and mobile phones, the videographer actually fell off the stage. Backwards. At the exact point where the thali was being tied. And landed really hard off the elevated stage.

Now u can imagine how the typical indian mentality works here with the oldies whispering under their breath " oooohh myyy bad omen.. this wedding is probably not meant to happen" (now imagine hearing all that in tamil....xtra effect!) Imagine how my sister felt, imagine the family's plight. Thereafter we asked all 'mobile & pocket camera photographers' to kindly get their ignorant arses off stage.

Maybe because of this whole experience i am looking for great photographers for my own wedding and support the fact that the professional need their space to execute their clients' expectations too. I don't mind paying the amount if U do a great job, which is evident from your work. Yes U get paid to do it, but so what? Its your gift & hard work and you're reaping from it. Maybe the ignorant people want to be paid to stay out of the way and not ruin it too? u reckon RG? lol

I chanced upon your partner Sree's work a year back and been following your team's work since. So here's a proposal **Gets down on one knee, gives puppy dog look and says** " Paparazzi Team, will U....... be my Photographer for my wedding?" :D

Note: I don't know if you take on assignments back here in singapore tho. Hope u do :)

Regards,

:-) thanks Puvan & Vanisha !

Guys, this is my earlier post which i edited!

I would say this is one challenging wedding to shoot, with lots of wannabe photographers blocking each and every angle all the time ! This guys were everywhere even on the stage with their point to shoot camera and mobile phone!!!! There was this chap shooting the whole wedding with his mobile phone blocking the most important angle. Upon approached him to move... he said...” i’m getting married next month... so I want to know the ceremony!!!! What the fcuk! If u want to know the ceremony get a consultation from the Priest! I wish someone do the same thing on his wedding, blocking his photographers view and let him feel the pain in his ass!!! I even I took a shot of him and told my partner Sree that we will never shoot his wedding if he approach us. He has no respect on people’s wedding !

P/s : for yr info he hired the same guy, Greg for his wedding! All he can do is get a copy from him!
Please note also my spelling - FCUK. And can anyone tell me which part I insulted family members or relatives?

I Rest my case. Puvan & Vanisha's comments answered everything !!!!

****THANK YOU FROM THE HARI RAYA COUPLE!!!!******

Hey Papparazzi gang, guess i have missed out so much of fun here. Just got back from Bali last nite and boooshhhhhhh i see a whole load of entertainment at my doorstep.. wowwww... wat a way to welcome us back. Nyway guys, i am gonna make this short for now.. n will comment later when i get the whole picture.

People out there, with capital letters im highlighting this!!!! GUNA, SREE AND THE REST OF THE TEAM DID MORE THAN THEY WERE ASKED TO. NONE OF THEM ON THE MANDAP/STAGE KNEW HOW MUCH THEY WENT THRU NOT ONLY DURING BUT ALSO BEFORE THE WEDDING (am not talking bout just taking photographs, its for all the consultations, looking at the hall, house, mingling with my family members-speechless etc etc). I HAVE NO REGRETS HIRING THEM, THEY WERE NOT ONLY ACCOMODATING BUT THEY WERE THINKING FROM THE ANGLE OF A BRIDE AND GROOM WHO HAVE HIRED THEM FOR THEIR SERVICES AND EXPECT THE BEST FROM THEM, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS AMAZING-NOT MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS DO THAT(TRUST ME ON THIS)..THEY COULD HAVE JUS DELIVERED WHAT THEY WERE TOLD AND LEFT BUT THEY DIDNT. ALL OF YOU CAN FIGHT TILL THE COWS COME HOME, AT THE END WE (PUVAN N I) ARE THE LOSERS-AND ITS SO UPSETTING. THESE GUYS KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE WAY WE FEEL.

TO ALL COMPETITORS WHO ARE USING THIS AS A MARKETING MATERIAL, STOP IT!!! WE WILL COMMENT LATER ONCE WE HAVE GONE THRU THE WHOLE PICTURE. Once again pappz team, u guys did an amazing job despite the hick ups.

i am writing this post from my cousin sis's Law firm, and she is ALSO praising ur job as i am typing this.

Will be back when we have settled in. To all kind souls, thanks for the well wishers.

Cheers,
Puvan & Vanisha

thari, good one mate!!! what u said abt the crowd perception towards the photographer is 100% true...they look at us (not all, but there is a group) like some slave group. and i hate it when they instruct us to take the shoot and guidance to take from certain angles. if they are so pro, might as well they do it nah. but we cant ask them to do so in order to main our professionalism.. and another thing is, some cant differenciate between CAMERAMAN and PHOTOGRAPHER... sad sad...anyway, it was a indeed awesome reply bro...hats off!!

Hmmm.... it took me a while to read all the comments n i am wondering to myself if any of u know what means of blogging! Every1 has the rights to blog in every way they want. So long as the photographers did not curse u'll on that day, u hv no say on their blogs. Guna is just expressing his view on what happened on that day. Blaming him for using the word 'fcuk' is so wrong... FCUK is not vulgar at all, unless he says it otherwise! Guna was my wedding photographer as well as my wedding planner. i remember him sitting with us 2 weeks b4 the wedding to discuss abt the whole function. To my surprise, he was the 1st ever photographer who was very direct n upfront of what he wants in order for us to get the best out of him. i don't think that is demanding...! The stage at the wedding hall was unimaginably small n congested. He requested us to get some1 whom can be in charge of controlling the crowd on the stage and to liaise with him to get every1 for the group shots. We did it accordingly and yet we still had ppl with own cameras snapping pictures. Guna n his team worked with it... thy still manages to produce the best for us despite all the trouble they had to go through! I saw their 'PROFESSIONALISM' there. It doesn’t take them just a few months to be called PROFESSIONALS.. it takes years of hardwork!!! If their photos r not good, I don't think many of you would even wanna put it up as your profile picture on ur FB right?? So, u got to agree that they deliver good stuffs. y pay so much n hire photographers if you think you family or friends can capture better moments than the PROFESSIONALS do???? You did not pay them, so you won't know the value... speaking is just free, so that doesn't mean you can say thgs as you wish! If there is smthg wrong with the wedding hall, seating arrangement, agenda, deco, sound n lighting systems or anythg technical... i am pretty sure Guna n his team would have got it rectified and went on with their job! But the trouble they went through was the people... Hello!!! However nice they would have put it to you'll to excuse them; i don't think you would have given it a damn!! You know y??? cse there's a typical indian mentality deep in u! U look at photographers just like a servant n not some1 who’s important. Trust me, u will find them real important on your wedding.. Let’s see then, if u will say the same. To whoever said that she will nvr want guna as her wedding photographer even if it is for FREE... let me tell u this, even if u pay a big bill to Guna, he will nvr wanna shoot your wedding! It’ll be really surprising if you will be able to find PROFESSIONALS like these ppl to shoot an INDIAN WEDDING! i am talking abt finding another PROFESSIONAL INDIAN PHOTOGRAPHER!!! What Guna wrote here was his own view in general... you don't have to take it so personally! If you are open enough to accept it, then MOVE ON!!!!
GUNA - i m sure this is not the 1st time you are coming across attitudes like this!! So, just show 'that finger' to those who don't appreciate your work n ask them to shove it up! (Oops! I’m not sure if thy r gonna consider this as vulgar)
